familysearch has a free tree program you can download.
I use FTM as it will merge ancestry info into the tree if you want.
I prefer ancestry to FMP as I find ancestry easier to use. FMP has better transcriptions though. FMP had a cheap deal for their worldwide sub but it is ending very soon.
