Name - "official" name and what they were known as Edwin Flower Mitchell - don't know what he was known as, but his grandson, named Edwin after him, was called Ted! Date and place of birth 17th Dec 1851 Keynsham, Somerset Names of parents Thomas Mitchell and Mary, formerly Lewis Date and place of baptism - if applicable 15th Sept 1867 at Horfield Gloucestershire (all this family were baptised on separate dates in their teens) Details of each of his or her marriages - if any 1) 20th April 1873 at St Clements, Bristol to Priscilla Stone 2) 16th Jan 1879 at Holy Trinity and St Edmund, Horfield, Gloucestershire to my g-grandmother, Annie Allen Occupation(s) - if any Stonemason and also licenced victualler (1896-1911) Military service - if any None to my knowledge Addresses where they lived Before 1865: Keynsham, Somerset 1871: 4 Haines Cottages, Ashley Down, Gloucestershire 1881: Russells Fields, Horfield, Gloucestershire 1886-1891: 1 Bringland Terrace, Horfield, Bristol, Gloucestershire 1901-1904: The Anchor Inn, 323 Gloucester Road, Horfield, Bristol, Gloucestershire 1911: 112 Ashley Down Road, Bristol, Gloucestershire 1930: 7 Ashley Down Road, Bristol, Gloucestershire Date, place and cause of death 6th April 1930 at Snowdon Buildings, Fishponds, Bristol, Gloucestershire of myocardial failure, myocardial degeneration and senility. Date and place of burial / cremation. No idea! Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable I've never looked to see if he left a will :o Memorial inscription - if any I've not found a memorial, though his second wife has one in Horfield churchyard. |
I looked him up in the National Probate Calendar and didn't find anything, so there was probably no will or administration (unless it took years and years, since I only searched up to 1934).

Incidently I know Snowdon Road quite well and the building was until recently a day centre.
