No marriage date - but one daughter that I know of - Jane Galloway born 1803, High Paisley, Renfrewshire, and who died 3 Jan 1878 at Paisley Renfrewshire as Jane Grieve (she married Peter Grieve of High Paisley Renfrewshire 22 Feb 1824

Ancestry isn't likely to have any info anyway unless she lived long enough to be on the 1841 census; you would need to look on FamilySearch and Scotland's People.

Hmmm, I wonder?

FamilySearch: Janet Galloway born 10 May 1802, Eaglesham, Renfrewshire, baptised 16 May 1802, Abbey (Paisley), Renfrew, parents John Galloway and Jean Gordon.

Then there is Jean Galloway born 8 Apr 1805, baptised 14 Apr 1805 at Low Church, Paisley, residence Paisley, same parents.

Is the name William just taken from Jane Grieve's death registration? In which case maybe the informant got the name wrong?

And there is a marriage on FamilySearch: John Gallway married Jean Gordon 1 Sep 1798 Abbey, Paisley, Renfrew, Scotland.
