I have on the 1851 census John Fleetwood age 52 born Somerset Frome with his wife Charlotte 60 born Petworth but I am blowed if I can find their marriage.
1851 ref: Piece 1509 Folio 334 Page 7.
1861 Census John has remarried Charlotte died in 1854. Any help with the marriage would be very much appreciated. xxhugxx

Is it the first or second marriage you are after? If it's the first I presume iit's going to be before civil registration and most likely in Somerset? Do you have any children for John and Charlotte? (sorry, too many question marks!)

Morning Merry, It is the marriage between John and Charlotte that I cannot find, I have the marriage for John and Mary Ann. No children as yet for John and Charlotte. xxhugxx

Ah, I had assumed Petworth was the same county as you hadn't said, but that's Sussex and they are living in London, and their dau was b in Gloucestershire abt 1820, so that widens the possibilities considerably! Sorry, I realise you knew all that! lol

But there is a daughter on the 1851 census you mentioned.

I wonder whether Hannah Watts, widow, age 53 born "Somerset Froome" , in the household following the Fleetwoods in 1851, is related to John Fleetwood?
