Stoney Middleton, Derbyshire - School Teachers

Hi,

Would anyone know who would be best to contact with regards to possibly finding any information on a rellie who was a school teacher at the school in Stoney Middleton?

I have just found (via google) that my rellie, Henry Jones, was a teacher at the school from 1853 to 1864 and would like to see if there is any information with regards to why he left, where he went etc.

If the school still exists it might be worth contacting them as they may have some old records or know where they are? The school log book and admissions book survive for the school my grandmother attended and it is extremely interesting.

Hi Anne. Ive sent an email to the Derbyshire Records Office but I think you idea is worth looking at. I will see if I can find an address for the school if it still exists and try to contact them.
