Please may I have the help of our NZ members?

I believe that the following family might have emigrated to New Zealand after the 1871 census:

Edward Purkis Coles born 1830
Clara Louisa his wife
Children:
Annie Clara
Julia
Clara Jane
Ada Barton
William
Louisa
Ernest
Charles Roby
George
Mary Jane

It seems they might have gone to Hawkes Bay:

If anyone finds them, could they please let me know?

There is a death of Clara Louisa in 1905 age 67.

See if you can find any of them here https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/search/

This is probably a relative

These are the North Island cemetery data bases. If they were in Hawke's Bay then try Napier, Hastings and Central Hawkes Bay for starters.
If you find anything then let me know - I live in Napier and go fossick in the local cemeteries for you.

The New Zealand BMD indexes are online (up to certain dates):

https://www.bdmonline.dia.govt.nz/

There is a death on there for Clara Louisa Coles in 1905, age 67. And for Edwards (sic) Purkis Coles in 1915, age 84. You will most likely find some marriages and deaths for their children if you do some searching on the indexes (it's free).

And surely connected: Edward William Purkis Coles born 26 Sep 1889 died 1978.

Christine, thank you so much. This family disappeared without trace until I found the marriage via Google.

Another branch went to Australia.

Looking on the electoral rolls on Ancestry he was in Waipawa, so Central Hawkes Bay cemeteries might have him.

Have I looked for him before? The name seems familiar.

Fantastic, I have lots of marriages. I shall try the births now.
Thanks to you both, Christine and Kate.
