Whilst I have census details for ancestor John Cook born 1799 Ipsley Worc, I wondered (now that I know his parents names - Thomas & Sarah) - whether the parents were shown on any of the census? John may have had at least one sibling - Elizabeth, who was 60 in the 1851 Census at same address as brother John. It would appear she was unmarried. I don't have any of the children of Thomas & Sarah except John and possibly Elizabeth.

Same family different side - (Johns wife Elizabeth) Elizabeth was a Harris, and was born abt 1800 in Overbury Worc (died 12 July 1872 same place). In the 1841 census when Elizabeth was 41, John 42, there is a Mary Harris aged 82, could this be Elizabeth's mother, and was she herself in any of the other census. Just to be a little more confusing, I am already showing a mother for Elizabeth, called Rhoda, which seems feasible, as there was a granddaughter named after her.

There is also a Joseph Cooke baptised 6 Jun 1802 and Deborah Cooke baptised 8 Jan 1804, same parents.

I can't see her with the family in 1851?

Hmm, there is a baptism on FamilySearch for Betty Harris, 20 Dec 1801 Overbury, parents John and Mary.

Thanks Kiterunner - I was just having trouble with FTM and importing my stuff over from another computer. I'm using v6 and preior to that was using v5 - its soooo different, was taking me a while to absorb stuff.

So we can say now

Parents Thomas & Sarah

Children John bapt. 1799
Joseph bapt. 6 Jun 1802
Deborah bapt. 8 Jan 1804

and that Betty (who was 41 in 1841) was born to John & Mary & was baptised 20 Dec 1801.
I wonder who Rhoda was.

Thanks Kite Runner - you've given me some new information :)
