All I have so far is his daughter, Ann Dickinson born about 1847 who married in Lancashire.

Actually I'm sure I found this Diskinson family in a census somewhere with Alice Hart...

She's the daughter of Ann Dickinson and daniel Hart born 1870. Daniel died 1870.

Seven year old needs the computer....back later,

There's some info on this thread:

http://genealogistsforum.co.uk/Forum/showthread.php?t=7996&highlight=dickinson

According to what I posted on that thread, the family are at Jones's Square, Bedford, on all the censuses from 1841 up to 1871 and a likely marriage is 25 Dec 1823 at St Mary the Virgin, Leigh, between John Dickinson, spinner, of Leigh parish, and Mary Ashton, spinster, of Leigh parish. Married by banns, witnesses Samuel Whittle and Timothy Taylor.

I'll see if I can find a death for John Dickinson.

Oh, I already found a likely death for him on the other thread too:

Lancashire BMD has a John Dickinson death in Culcheth sub-district in 1876, age 75

His birthplace is Lowton or Lawton on all the censuses, not sure which is correct. Looks like Lowton as there are some possible baptisms there.
