So you don't have Thomas's marriage cert?

If you don't have Margaret's maiden name you could try one of the children's birth certs.....here is the first born:

Births Dec 1839
Graham Henry Guisbrough 24 343

I would think there's a very good chance they were married after July 1837. :)

Archdear Newton must be Archdeacon Newton (in Darlington), Durham.

In 1861 Thomas and his wife Margaret have a load of Jackson nephews and nieces with them, born Eston Yorkshire. In 1851 those Jacksons are with their parents, Ralph age 34 born Eston, and Jane 26 born Rownton. So it looks likely that Ralph is Margaret's brother, and there is a marriage on FamilySearch between Thomas Graham and Margaret Jackson 3 Apr 1837 at Acklam, Yorkshire, which could be them. But as Merry says, if you get a birth certificate for one of Thomas and Margaret's children, it will tell you what Margaret's maiden name was. If that is the right marriage then it's just a few months too early for father's name to be on the certificate!

How do you know that Thomas's mother was called Margaret, please?
