BK6 updated from this thread

Margaret Purvis was buried in 1859 at St Andrew's, Enfield, Middlesex. Her address on the burial entry was Mile End. She was recorded as aged 81.

Margaret had been married to Thomas Purvis of Enfield in 1807 at St Bride's Fleet Street and was widowed in 1834 (OH buried at Enfield). She only had one known child, Thomas b 1808 in Enfield. I have seen him on the census (in Kent) through to 1871 but don't think he ever had his mother with him (though I've not saved the pages).

Marriage on FamilySearch - Thomas Purvis / Margaret Swan, 26 Jul 1807 at St Bride Fleet St., London. The image on ancestry shows Thomas Purvis' parish as Enfield.

Oops - you already have that!

FMP has her as Purvis in 1841 living at Commercial Road, Stepney, Mile End Old Town, Upper, Tower Hamlets

Oh yes, it is Commercial Rd, badly scrawled at the top of the other pages around it. At the top of the page that the Purves family are on, it says something which I thought was the street name but I think may be the name of a post office and only applies to the household at the top of the page.

Thanks again both of you. :)
