Has anybody here done any research in Poland?

I have been asked how one would go about finding someone born in Szczeczin, Poland in 1954 and believed now to be living in Hamburg.

Don't know where to start to advise!

Are you trying to find out about their past in Poland or find them now in Hamburg?

This chap scarpered when his wife was pregnant in the early 80s and now his long lost daughter wants to find him. A mutual friend helpfully thought that I would know what to do!

The daughter wants to try to find him now. I'm inclined to think the best hope is that his sister, or his mother, is still in Szczeczin, but how you'd check that I don't know. www.amcestry.pl?
