I have this family on the 1851 census.
Could anyone find them in 1841, please?

Not found them in 1841 yet, but I have found some baptisms on FamilySearch: Emma Louisa Fisher baptised 7 Aug 1836 St Mary's, Portsea, parents James and Jane. Elizabeth Ann Fisher baptised 8 Oct 1837, same place, same parents. There is also a James Fisher baptised 25 Aug 1839, same place, same parents. I can't see a death for James jr before 1842, so I would think he should be on the 1841 as well.

Thanks for looking, all of you. I wondered if FMP had mistranscribed them.

Kiterunner, I had found the baptisms too, and also James.

I believe the mother is Jane Buckle, who married Robert Walter Smith in 1826. I have 3 children for them:
Jane Sophia Smith bapt. 23 Oct 1827
Ellen Elizabeth Smith bapt. 7 Oct 1828
and
Robert Walter Smith bapt. 4 Sept 1831
all at St John's Portsea.

I think that Robert Walter Smith senior died and then Jane married James Fisher on 28 April 1835 at St Thomas Portsmouth.

I can't find the three Smith children on the 1841 census either -
I believe Robert Smith on the 1851 census that I posted is the Robert Walter Smith born c. 1831.

This Robert Walter Smith could belong to our new member Peggy.
He may have married as follows:
