please im hoping someone can look at 1871 census please as this was an address john mccartie was living at.i wondered if both parents are there
104,albeny(albany) street,pancreas (if thats how its spelt hard to read the writing)london.

What are their names?
i have john mccartie born 1848 cork ireland...his father was denis on his marriage cert it say denis deceased,but john is living at that address on his marriage cert.its hard to read.i can privately send you the copy as i i dont know how to crop.....brenda xxx

I thought we had already established that John McCartie was at a police station in Marylebone for the 1871 census? (I'm sure that's what KiteRunner posted on another thread??)

Not 'must be' - may be!!
He only had to reside there for three weeks before the wedding and a lot of people gave an address but never lived there at all!
oh dear then im 6 steps back.i would send for johns birth but i only know his dad...nothing else.brenda xxx

Civil registration of births didn't start in Ireland until 1864, so you wouldn't be able to send for John's birth certificate anyway, Bren, sorry.
