My friend has been looking for her ggrandfather Thomas Rodway (b1875 in Treforrest, Wales) his wife Mary (b1878 Manchester) and daughter Bertha (b1899 Manchester) on Ancestry.

She says she found them a couple of years ago with surname misspelt but cannot remember what the spelling was. She thinks they lived in Bath Street, Newton, Manchester.

I don't have Ancestry but did an address search on FMP. I found Thomas' mother with one of his brothers in Bath Street but cannot find Thomas and family.

I have also tried name search using variants.

I have found them in 1911 at 77 Pickering Street, Harpurhey, Manchester (plus more children and Thomas' mother).

Can anyone advise what to try next please?

I need to pop out for half and hour so will check for replies on my return.

Thanks

No replies? Oh, well I'd better put this one another forum then.

Thanks for trying Kate. I've just put the request on FTF too so may get a result there.

Mary Lomas ? or Edith Mary Lewis ?

added I suppose what I am suggesting is - are they with the Lomas or Lewis family in 1901 ??....Marys parents

I think it's probably Mary Lomas Allan as there is a likely birth for that one but not the other.

p.s. Yes, it is Mary Lomas - have just seen reply on FTF.
