I've been trying to find Flossey on the 1911 when presumably she would be in service. I also presume Flossey would be a pet name for Florence.

Would anyone like to have a look for her please.

I'd agree with a pet name for Florence, but the more usual spelling is Flossie.

There are 2 Florence Laceys of roughly the right age, both born Chesham and living in Amersham.

On the 1911 census the older children still with their parents are said to have been born in Little Kingshill.

There's an Elsie May Lacey aged 16 born in Little Kingshill, a kitchen maid at 112 Harley St, St Marylebone.

In 1901 there is an Elsie Lacey b 1895 at Fenny Stratford. At first I thought this would be the Elsie from 1911, but she isn't, as there are two birth regs - The Fenny Stratford birth would come under Newport Pagnell and the Little Kingshill one under Amersham.

Births Jun 1894
Lacey Elsie Hilda Newport P. 3a 743
Lacey Elsie May Amersham 3a 638

So, perhaps Flossie was actually Elsie May!! lol
