Hi my grandma MARY HUGHES nee LYONS was born Burnley 1854 to John and Ellen Lyons
Mary married in 1871 at Wetherby Roman Catholic to Michael Hughes they had 4 children but sadly Mary died in 1881 at Normanton Common
I cannot find any burial details has I assume she was buried according to the Roman Catholic Church can anyone help PLEASE :confused::confused:

On your other thread you say Mary was still alive in 1901 and was b 1878 in Normanton or possibly in Ireland, so I am just a little confused.

What was Mary's exact date of death and where is Normanton Common please?

OK I've found widower Michael in 1881 at Normanton. I guess the Mary aged 2 with him is the Mary you refer to on your other thread, so is she your grandmother and Mary Lyons and Michael Hughes your great-grandparents?

If it's the burial you are interested in, have you tried any Catholic Churches in the area? What about Wakefield cemeteries?

Edit - I think the Normanton family are a complete red herring, so perhaps ignore this thread unless biz can confirm I've made a mistake somewhere!
