Is baffling me!

She married the illegitimate son (William Parsons) of my ancestor.

She was baptised 1843 in Compton Surrey, d of John Chitty per Family Search.

In 1861 she is in Sussex, a servant
1871 Shropshire, a cook (in the same household as William, which is a bonus!)
1881 & thereafter as wife of William Parsons.

Her birthplace of Compton is steadfast, though her age and county of birth wobbles a bit.

But can I find her in 1851? No!

Can anyone else find her?

Yes, she's in Compton, Surrey, with her parents John and Mary. She isn't even mistranscribed on ancestry! Age 7.

Hmmm, seems to be missing from findmypast.

FMP doesn't seem to have Compton at all - at least, I can't find it on an address search.

Thank you very much, guys. I've contacted Find My Past about this.

It was great to be able to find her in Sussex & Shropshire (and Norfolk & Hampshire!) but I do worry about what we don't know is missing!

Mary, I agree. I do wonder if the whole piece is missing, or at least an emuneration district.

FMP acknowledges there is a bit missing, and will let me know when it's sorted!
