hmmm, can't find the son on the 41 either (George Kelly bc1821 Colsterworth).

Not much help for finding John, but could this be son George in 1841, living in South Witham, Lincs:

George Kelley, 20, Carpenter Ap, Born Lincs

(Seems to fit with him being a Wheelwright in later census)

Ah! I may have found John's widow and other sons, two of which are shoe makers. Can't read the name of forth son?

I've been there and taken my own picture. Just out of shot on the right of the genuki one is the grave of John's son George.

I had forgotten to look at freeREG; never had much success in the past. I'm really not sure where I got his dob from that's why I put the ??s:o

I will have to go to the Archives at Lincoln this year; I've got SO much I want to look up/check.

For some reason I knew Frances was a girl as I've spelled it that way on my FTM:rolleyes:

fairly sure that is my John Kelly m Ann Harris as he's a butcher in 51 as was mine in 41.

John and Ann seemed very fruitful, having 5 children in 9 years :)
