It has the allegations of my ancestor George White of Guildford in 1753 and 1757 (he married twice).

It's worth a look if you have Surrey ancestors in the 1700s.

Is there any way of searching it, or is there an index, Elizabeth?

I couldn't find a way of searching it, Kiterunner. I was lucky because I already knew the marriage dates of my George White and I knew he was married by license.

I think there might be an index (at the end?) but I haven't looked for it yet.

Yes, Kiterunner, at the back there is an index of surnames, with Christian names following.

e.g.
White, George 82, 109, 303, 358

Only problem is that the page numbers don't correspond to the numbers at the bottom that you click on!
There are several of the original pages on one web page!

This is my George White on page 82, who signed for someone else (probably known to him)

30 June, 1733. Richard Copperthwaite of Guldeford, victuaUer,
widower, 30, and Ehzabeth Dawson of Guldeford, spinster, 32 ; at

82 ALLEGATIONS FOR MAEKIAGE LICENCES ISSUED BY

St. Nicholas, Guldeford. George White of Guldeford, cooper, 2nd s.
Both sign.

I've highlighted the page number in red - the entry obviously straddled two pages.
I've left all the typos in - probably as a result of scanning the book!

There is an index of place names/churches right at the back too.

I already had it bookmarked on another site, which is searchable:

There are lots of parish records on archive.org.
