1841 Census: She is in Cheltenham workhouse, aged 44, and ‘NOT born Gloucestershire’. Four of her children aged 3 and a half, 7, 9 and 11 years old, were in Charlton Kings, Glos Workhouse. Husband can’t be found and I think he is dead by this date.

1851 Census: In workhouse again, with son Anthony, aged 16 and daughter Mary Ann, aged 19. She is aged 59, a servant and said to have been born in Charlton Kings, nr Cheltenham, Glos.
[Anthony and his sister Mary Ann, obviously had enough of being in the workhouse and emigrated to Quebec shortly after this census. Possibly following in the footsteps of their older brother Charles who has not been traced after the 1848 when he abscounded from the workhouse.]
1861: Cheltenham, Glos but died before the census.

Did the baptism for Harriet say whether her father was dead?

No, it didn't - it just said of 'John and Mary, Cheltenham, Salesman' the same as the others. [source BTs].

Pite she wasn't registered

I know! I suppose they hadn't had to register the previous 7 children, so they didn't register her.

I can't even find a likely death registration for her father.
