surviving children:

Thomas is on the following census

HO107; Piece: 1751; Folio: 698; Page: 50

I had begun to think they had been taken by aliens or something!

I've just found a wealth of info about the Maynards etc on the Bedford jail database!! :rolleyes: Ephraim was aquitted after being tried for stealing 10 ducks eggs and 10 hens eggs of the value of 10 pence the property of John Brown in 1852.

Here it is:

It says in the instructions: "Gaol records will be matched against the exact spelling of the criteria entered." but that's not quite right as it gives you anything that is an extension of what you have entered, so May gives May, Mayne and Maynard etc. You can put in a minimum of one character as long as that doesn't give more than 1000 results!
