I know 1841 doesn't give relationships and ages aren't accurate, which isn't much help, but I'm puzzled.

Ex's gt x 3 grandparents were John & Frances Goodwin.
They had these children baptised St Giles in the Fields:
John 1814
George 1816
Harriet 1818
Thomas 1820
Sarah 1822
3 younger children's baptisms not found - they are Charles b 1826, Elizabeth Alice b abt 1830 and William b 1831.

I've found John & Frances in 1841 here with youngest sons Charles & William.
John Goodwin is 50.

Class: HO107; Piece 670; Book: 4; Civil Parish: St Andrew Holb

but looking for other children I found a Thomas (age slightly out as it was in 1841)

I found this household:

HO107; Piece 673; Book: 7; Civil Parish: St Giles in The Fields; County: Middlesex; Enumeration District: 7; Folio: 14; Page: 21
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=view&r=5538&dbid=8978&iid=MDXHO107_672_673-0506&fn=Thomas&ln=Goodwin&st=r&ssrc=&pid=7183795

Thomas isn't exactly the right age, but the address is Great Wild Street, which is the address on the baptisms of John & Frances' children.
And on the previous page is John Goodwin aged 50!
Unfortunately the images are faded and there doesn't appear to be any occupations given either.

Any ideas?

The woman's name looks like Sarah 50 and the children Amelia 8, Thomas 15, Charles 6, but it's really difficult to make out.

I've got the names, KiteRunner, thanks for looking. Just not sure if John is Sarah's and a different chap to my John and the address and name of Thomas is a coincidence, or whether there's a bit of bigamy going on or what!

Can't find a baptism for Amelia either. The Johns can't be brothers.

bumping in case anyone has any theories - is it the same John Goodwin?
