I am researching my niece's husbands tree and his great grandmother is proving a bit of a mystery. It isn't who he thought it was. We bought his grandmothers birth cert, she only has the short one, and the mothers is a totally differnt name to who his gran thinks was her mum. She is still alive and her hasn't told her, isn't going to either. He hasn't told his mum yet either.
I have found the death, I think, of this mystery woman. Before we send for the cert, three people on GR have her in their trees. I don't have membership anymore.
If someone is prepared to contact these people on my behalf would they PM me please?
Don't want to put any names on here, as I said the lady is still alive and I think it would be too much of a shock at her age, 72, to find out that your mum wasnt your mum.
