I'm a bit rusty at research. What would the NBI tell me about a burial?

I may have found my GGF's death on freeBMD but his age is a year out (I know, I know lol).

William Pontin b August 1871 Marlborough
Death December 1936 in Hungerford age 64 when he should be 65.

I have to get the death cert to find out where/why he died because I suspect 'oddness'.

any tips?

It would say where he was buried. Which might lead you to a memorial inscription to prove he was actually yours.

But do you know if this event is actually on the nbi? It is a little recent.

It's not on the NBI

Seems most likely to be him as there are not many births in his name around 1871.

Starting a new thread with a plea for help... :)

I've just seen you have him as Ponting not Pontin on the other thread! I was refering to the surname Pontin on my earlier post.

yes, sorry Merry. The name does fluctuate through time and the death is listed at pontin without the g. I did search pontin*
