Ancestry's England and Wales Christening Records 1530-1906 show that Harry COLBORNE was christened 1792 at Walton on the Hill in Lancashire - his parents were Thomas and Margaret.
Ancestry's marriage records show that a Henry COLEBORN married Mary Roberts in Liverpool 1817
The IGI shows their children were all born in Liverpool
Thomas chr.1818
Richard chr. 1820
Margaret chr. 1822
John chr. 1826
Mary 1833
Harry COLEBORN remarried in 1841 Q2 to Elizabeth Jones in Lancashire 20/290
Harry was a wheelwright by trade.
So far I have been unable to find either Harry and Mary on any census, neither his parents Thomas/Margaret (Thomas died 1857, Margaret in 1864)
Nor a death record for Mary - assuming she died and they didn't divorce
Any help in locating these elusive people would be much appreciated.
Thankyou
Val.............have you found any of the kids in the census???
Oooh - I have just found Henry and Elizabeth in the 1851 census with son John
.....still looking for Thomas/Margaret
Found your email address....lol
......and I really would like some sort of a closure for Mary Coleborn nee Roberts.
What happened to her I wonder?
Couldn't find her on Lancs BMD. Did the email arrive????
She is a real problem Libby - I don't know where to look for her next. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
I have sent you an email
Did you notice Elizabeth's birthplace in 1861??? Different to 1851. Not sure it's the same one. My eyes are closing...lol............but i wonder if Harry filled it out in 1851 and just put what he thought (or wanted the powers to be know).

If all the statements in red are correct, Thomas and Margaret were very, very old when they died.
Mary could have died any time after 1832 ie before civil registration.
If I've found the right census (and I think I have) Harry died between 1851 and 1861. Still can't find Mary's death. I tried Lancs OPC but that is not complete.
Thankyou Phoenix and Libby - I have been having some success today - but will have to get back to you as visitors have just arrived~~~~~~~~~~~``
