Suffolk institute admissions and data

I have an ancestor who appears on the 1851 census living in Norfolk and then appears as an inpatient for a Suffolk institute in the 1861 census.

Is there a way to find out when they were admitted, what for etc?

They also appear to be absent from the next census

I would contact the Suffolk Record Office and see what info they have.
