Emily Keen Fancy ????
Whatever it says I think it's spelled incorrectly!
I expect the head of house wrote out his own census schedule, so the enumerator was reading the householder's writing when filling out the folio sheet. Maybe he couldn't read it either?!
thanks Merry see my reply on my other post have found John Keen YYYEESSSSSSSSS
Emily Keen Fancy ????
For those of us who are currently without Ancestry and are a bit nosy (erm ... I mean, interested in old occupations) might you be able to post a screenshot ? :D

Hmmmmm ... nice handwriting
Possibly begins with a 'p', ends with 'y' and has a dot over something
I'm looking at Victorian Occupations for a clue and see that 'Fancy Woman is listed ! :)

I think it starts par and ends ey. I agree with Merry - it looks misspelt.
somebody suggested fancy pastry ??? what about pastries ??
pastries doesn't end in a 'y'
fancy dress party with an 'i' in it
Any clues at all ?
Like an address (eg) 'Em's Bakery and Fancy Pa......ys'
Could it be an attempt to spell 'Patissiere' or 'Patisserie/s' ? ... erm ... no 's' .... hmmmmm
just ignore me ~ thinking out loud
