Following on from my Worldwide Ancestry query can you find them in England?

1851 census

Looking for Robert Ward Dunt b 1819 Blofield, Norfolk
wife Emma (birthplace unknown)

Robert and Emma married in Norwich in 1848. They had two children by 1851, Herbert Robert b. 1849 and Emma b 1850 both in Stepney.

A third child Agnes Janette was born (according to Ancestral File) at 3 Sidney Street, Commercial Road, Stepney in 1852.

But I can't find Robert, Emma or the children. Help! This is the only census after their marriage in which they are in England - they emigrated in 1855.

I haven't looked yet but wanted you to know I had family in Sidney Street too :)

According to TNA Sidney Street in 1851 should be:

Ref: HO 107/712 Book; 8 Folios: 31-32

If I do a search for just HO107/712 there are no hits. It may be that ancestry don't have them

Thanks for looking. Your lot weren't involved in the famous Siege of Sidney Street, were they???!!!!

Just had a look on FMP - not there either. Maybe the page they are on is missing. How wierd that I can find out about them on the other side of the world, but not in London!

Having checked my Sidney Street lot I think they may have been from the one in St Pancras not Stepney

Oh well, its not that far from St P to Stepney geographically!
