He's certainly hiding in 1861 and 1871 isn't he.

Yep remember we looked for his son Frederick George Featherstone who was born 1860! Couldn't find him but I think Kiterunner said that the 1861 Census for James Street Shoreditch is missing.

This where they were James Street, Shoreditch, London, England - Baptism Record 19th November 1860 that was FGF's baptism.

I've looked high and low. I can't even find Caroline Bartlett Foinett in 1871 - Foinett is a bad name.

Presumably Caroline is the one baptised as Caroline Bartlett Fernett 8th July 1850 St Leonard's Shoreditch, parents James and Sophia of James Street? Her date of birth is given as 25th Novr 1826 on the baptism record, so we know who we're looking for in 1871.

You know I looked for a baptism for Caroline and could never find it!!! Mainly because I was looking for it around 1826 not 1850!!!

Foinett is mistransribed all over the place. The Bartlett (Margaret Elizabeth's family) and the Foinetts are interwined in another relationship further back that I couldn't/haven't quite figured out yet!! Also Sophia Eliza Bartlett Margaret Elizabeth's sister married Frederick's brother George Samuel Featherstone.

To make matters worse Caroline's mother Sophia married Richard Bartlett (Margaret Elizabeth's father) in 1859 after James Foinett died but Richard's first wife is called Sophia too!

So her mother Sophia is with Richard Bartlett and James is dead by 1861! She's not with them. I knew her parents names but she is 12 years older than Frederick so don't know who she'd be living with I think she's probably with Frederick in 1871.

These three families have got me into a right state at times :d :d :d

What's the likliehood that this could be Frederick and his son and Caroline and the names have been ballsed up I just don't know who Margaret is though Caroline's mother was Sophia who is now married to Frederick's father in law Richard Bartlett who I have on other census!!!

Yeah I think it's them but the enumerator has mixed it up a bit Frederick junior's mother was Margaret Elizabeth who was dead by then and Frederick senior's mother was Hannah Chumley who is also dead by then and Frederick senior's father Samuel George married Frances Burns living somewhere quite separately in Clerkenwell and Caroline's mother is Sophia who is now married and living with Richard Bartlett Frederick senior's father in law and Frederick junior's grandfather cos Richard was Margaret Elizabeth's father.

Confused?????

So who is the one named Margaret Bartlett what relationship is she really to either of the lot underneath her!!!

Edit to say: I said the enumerator mixed it up a bit but it might be them that mixed him up a bit to muddy the waters. Actually I don't think Margaret exists somehow well that Margaret anyway and Caroline has knocked 5 years off her age and two has been added onto Fredericks :d

Sorry I know I'm rambling but effectively on that census both Caroline and Frederick are saying they are brother and sister!!!!
