Hiya,

Just wondered if someone could help me out here.

I have Frederick H King b.1889 Sunderland and his wife Edith Maud King b.1894 plus their son Frederick John King b.1920, apparently according to my second cousin they all emigrated to New Zealand in 1922. I can't find any passenger lists for that year. The only list I have found is in 1959 when the parents were travelling back to the UK to visit cousins.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Elaine.:)

Here's a couple of other NZ sites that may come in useful:

NZ archives: miscellaneous records, including the probate index:

Old newspapers, which sometimes report passenger arrivals:

You're a star Mary!!!:D I'll be glued to this now. Any idea how I trace the records for Frederick J King - he served in the NZ Royal Air Force as a Flight Lietenant??

Thank You
Elaine:)

Try this link for information:

I think only the next of kin are entitled to deceased servicemen's WW2 records, though.

Ok thanks yet again Mary, I know the next of kin for Frederick King, she still lives in NZ and we are in touch via facebook so she could always apply for the records. Although, she couldn't tell me much about her ancestors as it was before her time and she's not into genealogy either!! Brilliant!!:) Thanks,

Elaine.
