Not the easiest name to research!

He married Rosina/Rose/Rose Hannah Timms/Timbs in Bethnal Green in 1881. She was 20 or thereabouts.
Born in Nash, Bucks.

In 1901, the family is at 93 Latchmere Road Battersea.
Of the children,
William G is 18, born Holloway.
Rosina is 16 born Holloway. I think this must be her birth:
Sept 1885 Gray Roseanna Alice Bethnal Green 1c 234

This is the birth of the youngest child on the 1901 census:
Sep 1900 Gray Ellen Eveline P Wandsworth 1d 589

But where are they in 1891 and 1911? Planet Zog?

There's a George & Rose floating around, but she was born in Surrey or Sussex.

Using the GR search, which gives you a place of birth, it looks as tho' they're in West Ham, Essex. She is listed as Rosehanah Gray b 1863, Nash, Bucks but I don't have a sub to give you any more details.

Sue, that's bizarre. She won't come up when I search fmp. Do you have a census reference or an address for 1891?

That's brilliant, Wendy. Thank you very much. No wonder I couldn't find her, if she's aged 24 after almost 10 years marriage!

And I've found them in 1911 now: RG14PN9523 RG78PN509 RD188 SD5 ED4 SN82 back in West Ham. Clearly the Sarth didn't suit them;)

Sorry, Sue - I've just realised you meant 1911. Thank you!!!

Spooky, Phoenix. I have Grays in my tree, I have people living in Latchmere Road in my tree and I have people born in Holloway in my tree. But sadly I can't connect any of them with your lot - though I do have a Rosehannah Gray too!

Lol!

A friend with the same surname as mine (unrelated!) bought one of those books that lists all the instances of a surname.

He found three unrelated families with our surname were living in his road!

Could it be that it is a very common surname?;)
