The above relationship ended about 1846 and William lived with Emma Packer between 1846 and Emma's death in 1854.
William then lived with Ann Renyard (OH's great-grandmother) between about 1860 and Ann's death in 1874.
William's first wife, Jemima Alford, had re-married bigamously in 1857 to James Birch who she had lived with since 1846. Jemima died in 1878.
2nd Dec 1880 William Cotton married Ann Maria Macey, née Wright at Southampton Register Office.
