Good news from when I was researching my neice's hubby's tree

Some of you may remember about the story. Wrong mother on the birth certs of 3 children as it looked like the father was claiming an army pension for his wife and children. 2nd "wife" had three children but 1st wife's name was on the birth certs. There was no 2nd marriage as the 1st one never divorced him.

I discovered that there was a half brother that my nephew in law's grandmother knew nothing about and neither did he know anything about her.

I contacted the man and then spoke to him on the phone as did nephew in law.

Now his grandmother has been in touch with her half brother more than once. I didn't think she would as she was horrified to discover she was illegitimate. She'd never seen her full birth cert until I sent for it on Alan's behalf.

I do hope they get to meet as the half brother is getting on a bit.
