I'm trying to home in on a George Anderson, born about 1784-5 in the northern part of Northumberland. I know he isn't the one born in 1785 in Alwinton.
A GR contact has suggested that the correct family for "my" George is William Anderson and Jane in IGI Batch C147721 (Presbyterian, Birdhope Craig, Northumberland). This family has two Edwards. My contact's contact claims that the one baptised 25 May 1784 is actually "my" George.
Does anyone have access to another source of this church's baptism records, which might throw some light on the suggestion? According to the Northumberland records website there are copies at their main site and at Berwick on Tweed.
This is such a distant twig on my tree I can't justify the £25 that Northumberland Records would charge (though I have tried to wheedle a freebie out of them) or the cost of obtaining the LDS film.
