I was going to trawl for it because Featherstone is so badly transcribed on most of the census (I've put in corrections for a lot) but decided it probably wasn't there which is a shame because it'd be the only one with him and his mother Margaret on together his mother died in 1864 just after giving birth to her second child and son Richard who also died when a baby too. :( they lived at 6 James St.

Can't find him or his father on 1871 either though don't know where they'd be living then but almost certainly somewhere in Shoreditch.

I tried looking for them in 1871 with Fred* born 1860 +/- 2 years and Fred* as his father with Shoreditch for a keyword.
I didn't enter a surname.

Nothing came up that remotely looked like Featherstone

I have tried off and on for a few years it's infuriating although his uncle Isaac and his uncle George come up in the searches but if you look at the images they are really badly damaged so its possibly Frederick George and his father is near them but on a badly damaged page that's not searchable.
