Can someone check a death for me please, Ancestry says it illegible, but i think it says Swindon.

It looks like Swindon to me, Sylvia.

Positive and negative images below - I believe reproducing a small extract is permissible, but not a full copy.

Yes, it says "Swindon &c". It is FreeBMD's transcriber who would have put illegible, and that is because the FreeBMD transcriptions were done from scans that weren't as good as the ones that ancestry now has. The district's official name was "Highworth" until 1899 but sometimes listed as Highworth and Swindon, or Swindon and Highworth, according to GENUKI. And yes, that district did include Wanborough.

Do you mean Wanborough Sylvia?

Wanborough is only a couple of miles from Swindon.

ETA: Beat me to it Kiterunner. :d
