The bridegroom's father's name is interesting!

Just noticed this Elizabeth, William Calladine was born William Street, his mother died in 1854 after the birth of her second child. William was taken in by his grandmother Sarah, who changed his surname to Calladine, the story is she never liked his father, who has not been found since.

Sylvia, it's so infuriating when this happens. I have found this with some of my families - you find some of the children, then others are missing, and you know perfectly well they existed!

I remember on OH's line the IGI had transcribed all the boys' baptisms, but the sisters' were nowhere to be found, although they were in the registers as clear as day!

It is frustrating, i notice Adelines marriage is on there but not her baptism, i have looked up til 1880, as there was a younger sister Sarah (1866) born 8 years after the others hers is not there either.
