View Full Version : Ancestry / Family Tree Maker phone number?

I had had an email from Ancestry/ Family Tree Maker telling me that my Internet back up sub is up for renewal. As I now use FTM 2010 instead of 2006 I can no longer use this option.

I have to contact them before the 25th June to stop automatic renewal. It says I have to contact them on 1-800-ANCESTRY.

Can someone tell me how I can contact them to cancel?

The UK number I used to renew my ordinary Ancestry account is 0800 345 7929; I assume it's the same for the back-up sub, but if not, they should be able to tell you the right number.

Well that number is no good for cancelling FTM back up sub. The bloke on the other end of the phone didn't have a clue what I was talking about. He was about to cancel my ancestry sub.
:eek::eek:
Anybody any idea how I can cancel this before they take more money for something I can't use?

The email they sent to remind me is one of those no -reply things.

Here's another number to try though I don't know if it will be any use:
0800 404 9723. At least it's free.

I emailed them a few weeks ago Marg when I lost the Old Search. I've still not heard back from them.... so keep pestering them!

BTW - I eventually "found" the Old Search myself just this weekend, no thanks to Ancestry:d

The support people usually reply within a day or two; I've found them pretty efficient in the past.
