I have finally found the marriage of my 4 x great grandparents using family search pilot site.

I'd be interested in other people's interpretations of the brides surname, please.

I agree - Thimblethorpe.

All the India records on the new site don't have images. You are lucky.

thanks all.

I wasn't sure if it was Thimblethorpe or ThRimblethorpe

I've managed to find a matching baptism for a Mary Thimblethorpe in Hockham which is where she said she was born on the census. Struggling with her parents though as the parish records are really poorly scanned. Although credit to family search that I can view them online because this time last year it would have meant planning a trip to Norfolk RO

My Norfolk Marriage CD has Thimblethorpe.

There is also a Sarah Thimblethorpe married to William King 1/2/1833 at Little Cressingham if you are interested.

Cheers Wendy. Made a note of it. Not sorted the family out properly yet but they definitely moved on to Little Cressingham as there is a brother born there in 1810 so I'm sure Sarah ill be relevant at some point.

Wendy

Could I be cheeky and ask you to search your CD for the name Thilthorpe as well, please?

It seems to be a variation of the name from looking at the Cressingham baptisms

Thank you

Zoe

Sorry Zoe, went offline for a while.

There are 4 entries for male Thilthorpe:

Matthew, Robert & Samuel married East Dereham, and Thomas at Watton.

Plus several females too. Different parishes.

Let me know if you want any of the details.

Just found William Thimblethorpe marriage to Martha Bilverstone 19/8/1827 at Little Cressingham.

LOL - we probably did it at the same time as I just found him whilst trawling through Little Cressingham.

The only two parishes I have them in so far are Little Cressingham and Carbrooke, so anything for there would be great. Although I am still trawling Little Cressingham so I should eventually get to those anyway.

Thanks for your help

Actually, I just remembered the Chastons (Mary Thimblethorpe's family) ended up in Watton in the 1820s so if you could give me details for Thomas that would be great

Thank you
