BK6 updated from this thread

Can anyone find this 1881 family in 1871?

Ellen TYLER Head W 59 Annuitant b Witney, Oxfordshire
Frederick W. TYLER Son U 27 Grocer Unemployed b Reading, Berkshire
Walter H. TYLER Son U 23 Booksellers Assistant b London, Middlesex
Caroline L. TYLER Daur U 21 School Mistress b New Cross, Surrey

84 Dynevor Rd, Stoke Newington

I don't know if Ellen's husband was alive in 1871, but in case he was, his name was James Tyler b 1826 in Reading, Berkshire. In 1851 he was a stay maker and in 1861 a commercial traveller in tea. In 1861 they were living in Grafton Road, Islington. To my knowledge there were no other children.

This could be Walter Tyler at school in 1871

RG10; Piece: 1349; Folio: 83; Page: 25;

This could be Frederick Wm a visitor - age given as 11 not 17

RG10; Piece: 697; Folio: 31; Page: 17

Could this be Ellen and Caroline - lodgers (Taylor not Tyler)

RG10; Piece: 317; Folio: 53; Page: 64

This might be Ellen, a lodger, widow, 49, stay maker. There's a Caroline and a Maria with her:

JBee - I'm sure you are right about Walter and Frederick - thank you so much.

Sabrina, That is definitely my Ellen and her daughter!! Maria may be her sister-in-law.

Thank you both very much. :)
