Afraid I haven't spent as long as should have researching this because it relates to the one grandparent I am sure of and have been a bit obsessed with the mysteries of the others :d

Ancestry have their surname as Sonitton.

I think Frederick was born at Wivenhoe rather than Lexden (that's the reg district)

Can't see Frederick's death so far.
