Frederick Thomas Medcalf married Alice Louisa Horne (b 1883, Southampton)

They had lots of children together until 1912.

He was a corporal, but unfortunately the 1911 census has him alone on a page, with no age or birthplace.

Is he in the Ancestry military records? I can't find him on fmp, or the cwgc, so I assume he survived the war.

Help!

There are service records on Ancestry for a Frederick Thomas Metcalfe b abt 1880 and living in Teddington in 1915. Could this be him?

A medal card for a Frederick Medcalf in the Kings Royal Rifles, but it doesn't give an address or age.
Another for a Frederick Medcalf in the 24 London Regt - again no address or age.

Thank you both!

I think Merry must be right and he died before WW1 - HENCE NO PENSION.
