The 1891 census only has one child that age with a name looking like that and it is hard to read. The mothers name looks the same.

no son of that name, but the child with the name that is difficult to read is a son and I apologise because it is the father of the house with the same looking name not the mother.

Therefore I would guess it is Elijah.

I am off to bed now. Hope that helps

Hi, I have looked at the index image and there are two entries with the one for Elijah added at the bottom of the page. I would say they were twins, but maybe one didn't survive to be included on the census.

I think it's a correction of the child's forename (and sex as well, I assume!) as there's no death for the 'other' child between then and the 1891 census.

I agree with Merry, it's a correction.
