So does he say his father is William on it?

Yes.

But this man has confused me because of the name changing. I might have got the wrong Obadiah!

All the facts fit but I am still not certain.

Maggie, are you hoping that these are his parents in 1841?

I don't know why he kept switching his names around from Obadiah to William and then back again.

If this is the right man, I think it is then thank you. Jessbowbag found them a while ago and then I thought it was the wrong man.

I need to find him on the 1841 and 1871 census.

That's right, Maggie, we've done them all once but we're rerunning the whole thing so that people who missed it first time round can take part, or people who did their own ancestors first time round and want to post up their OH's ancestors this time.

ahh I must have posted him instead of mine then I think

Aha I found his death I think Ancestry must have updated something I have searched for this man's death forever but going by the name William Miller was nye on impossible the amount of William Millers is extraordinary but they registered his death with his real first name as his middle name and I know it wasn't there before!!!

Edit to say: It must be him not many men named Obadiah and it gives me more confidence that the Obadiah that I am following is him as opposed to the ordinary named William Miller he becomes a bit later on in his life!

I will buy it when I get paid I have spent so much on certs this month it doesn't bear thinking about!!!!
