I googled 'gypsum quaries Balderton' and there seems to have been a lot of it about! lol Sounds like a potentially horrible place to work :(

I think Nelson Mandela was quarrying for something similar on Robben Island but I might have misremembered.

I'm sure that lime dust does wonders for the lungs.
