HI...me again.....anyone know what a
SELF ACTER MINDER is....given as an occupation of the grooms father on Lan-opc ?.....allan:confused::confused::confused:

Watched and minded the 'Self Acting Mule' - the name of a multi thread spinning machine. The original Mule was hand operated and was invented by Samuel Crompton of Bolton in 1779. It was made self-acting by Richard Roberts in 1830. :)

But on first observation it does make you think 'what the blinking hella is that'?

I didn't know till I looked it up and when I started reading it I thought it meant a real mule with a mind of it's own at first :d
