There is a marriage for

Julia Alexander and Charles Richard Carter
20 Aug 1821
St Mary Magdalene Richmond Surrey

Is it by any chance on the LMA records on Ancestry or is it out of the area of coverage?

If it is there, would someone mind giving me the details? I want to find out if she is my ancestor Charles' sister.

Elizabeth

both bride and groom were of this parish and bachelor/spinster. Marriage was by banns and the witnesses were Thos. Downs and Mary Page.

Yes, it's there, but too early for fathers' names to be given.

Both spouses OTP, bachelor and spinster.

The witnesses' names are hard to read, but it's something like GT Kerswile, Anne M Kerswile and M Hopkins.

Err, Nell, you've taken the witnesses from the wrong marriage :)

Oops! Mary is right, I was looking at the wrong wedding witnesses.

I'd say the names look as Mary has said, but that doesn't seem to help in answering your question!

Thanks to you both, Nell and Mary.

It looks as though Julia could well be the sister of my 3xgt grandfather. The census show she was born in Berwick Bassett. I still can't definitively link my ancestor Charles Alexander Alexander with this family but his baptism looks exactly the right date. Why did he have to die before the censuses!

Nell, I'll send you a pm.

Thanks so much.
