Police in Orkney

Hi my Greatx 2 Uncle was a Superintendent in the Police in Orkney and I would like to find info about him or his service.

I would be grateful for your help if you are able to offer it.

I don't know about Scottish policemen but would imagine the records - if they survive - would be at the relevant county archive.

This is probably the best place to contact to start with - they should know

Fi, i've got my GGrandfathers police records, he served in Lancaster, i contacted them and, had the records within two weeks.
