I've got so many death certificates I would like, but can't afford all of them, I am trying to see which will give me the most amount of useful information. How I wish I bought them when they were £3.50 each - but even that seemed a lot of money then!

Not sure of the exact year, but maiden names and birthplaces were only included on certs after the late 1960s.

Maybe if you post up what you are trying to find we might be able to help you, there's often a way round these things.

Thanks Nell, I will do that (if she doesn't come up on the GGparents thread first)! I am trying to get all my certificate orders in first though, before the price increase! ;(
