Yes, they are both sad, Val :o

You might be able to find a newspaper report about this death.

The inquest would very likely have been reported in the local paper, Val.

I am not good at researching newspaper reports ?? where would I start ?? thanks

I don't think they have many London newspapers on the 19th century newspapers database but it would be worth looking. Otherwise you would have to go to a library in that area or to the British Library newspaper archive at Colindale (on the outskirts of London).l

I'm afraid I can't see anything about him on there, though.

wonder if it was mispelt as Wallace ?? does happen

kiterunner

It's more likely that there is nothing about him on there, because it doesn't include many local London papers.

It says Discharged Shell, accidentally run over. What year was it?

kiterunner

It's fractured skull, not discharged shell, Daphne. The year was 1867.

Is that British Library site working for everyone else? I can't get it to respond at all.
The Gale site won't work either.
